
La Paz is full of houses even in the mountains and the city is gigantic. On the bus from Puno to Bolivia y started playing and playing and I got dizzy until I vomited. What I liked the most about La Paz was the "Mercado de Brujas", or Witches' Market.

We were very close to the clouds and I thought I was in the sky. The colors of the landscape in Tiwanaku are beautiful.

Kanchita the explorer of Tiwanaku about to climb up the pyramid... when it began to rain. Then we ran through mud, rain and cold to the museum. But Canita, the calata dog had fainted from the cold and I grabbed her and kept her in my coat's pocket.

I took this picture just befor climbing up the pyramid after the rain. The pyramid was incomplete and covered with earth. The archaeologists were restoring it so people can see it. The guide told us they had found human sacrifices in Tiwanaku.


We arrived at the Gate of the Sun, and saw Viracocha carved in the stone door. Viracocha is an andean god of the mountains of southern Peru and Bolivia. He was the god of creation.
